Faith + Andrew // Married at Vintage Villas in Austin, Texas

So Faith is one of those brides that I feel like I've known for several years. In reality, I met her a little over a year ago when she met with me for a consultation. I think this happens when I follow a bride for the whole journey (engagement portraits, bridal portraits, and the wedding day). Those days, coupled with planning meetings, mean we spent a good deal of time together. So I went into this wedding a little sad that it was coming to an end, but excited because I knew it was going to be FUN!
I was right.
Faith and Andrew have the most wonderful set of friends who kept them smiling and stress free all day long. There were a few funny moments of groomsmen pulling up YouTube videos to figure out how to get their boutonnieres pinned on, and also feeling led to point out ant species during portraits (several of them are entomologists). But truly, throughout every phase of the day, everyone was having a blast.
Faith had the most amazing wooden flowers that PERFECTLY matched the varied colors of bridesmaids dresses. You could literally find the exact shade of each dress somewhere in the purple roses or green shaded succulents. The venue (located in Austin) had a stunning lake view, and the weather was starting to feel like fall. It was picture perfect (or in my case, perfect for pictures!)
The party continued into the reception, where I was entertained greatly by the many guests who were former members of the Aggie Ballroom Society. I didn't know that you could ballroom dance to Kesha and Gangnam Style, but you can, and they made it look cool. The night ended with the Aggie War Hymn, with an emphasis on "hot night in Austin tonight!". The newlyweds escaped under an arch of sparklers, and I was sad to see them go.
Faith and Andrew, CONGRATULATIONS! And if you two don't keep in touch, I will track you down.
