Here's a story for you: This shoot started out at the emergency room!
Not what you think though, no one was hurt. Amanda is a P.A. and worked for a bit at the Emergency Department at College Station Medical Center. That's actually where she met her fiance! Nathan is a police officer. We couldn't resist hopping by the Med to honor this part of their story with a few themed photos. I kept thinking to myself "I hope we are allowed to stand here" or "I hope it's ok to park there". Then I realized we had Nathan, so we could do whatever we wanted! We did get an odd look from a security gaurd when I was using the front of Nathan's patrol car for a ring shot set up. Nathan told me usually that's not the end of a police car where good things usually happen. I disagree, because the shot turned out pretty cool (see below).
After that it was a quick trip down the road to Lick Creek Park. With all the rain we have been having, the park has really made it's transition from the golden dry grass of the winter to green and blooms. Amanda changed into a floral dress and we took full advantage of the matching wildflowers. We had some lovely light and a breeze that not only kept us cool, but played with Amanda's skirt and made for a romantic vibe.
All in all, a lovely evening spent getting to know two lovely people.
