First, let's give a shoutout to a guy who had the forethought to hire a photographer for his proposal. Such an important moment deserves more than camera phones! Great job, Trevor!
If I have any non-Aggie readers out there, feel free to google "Century Tree Proposal", no time to explain the whole tradition here. (What? Aggies have traditions? Say it ain't so...)
I was incredibly excited to hear from Trevor. I love any proposal. I love Century Tree proposals even more. I love CORPS Century Tree proposals the best. But then, there's more! These two are both in the Corps of Cadets. That just makes me smile, because when my husband and I were in the Corps, there were very few "dual-cadet" couples. I'm so happy to see more! We will fill the Quad with full-blooded cadets in about 20 years.
Trevor lucked out, both with weather (not TOO hot), and no other gents with the same proposal idea at the same time. Everything went smoothly, and she said yes! And readers, you should know he teased her a bit by pulling out a ring pop first. But she took it with a smile! I mean, it did look to be cherry flavored, so that's a bonus. But a gorgeous sparkler came out soon after :0)
Congrats to the soon-to-be Bride and Groom! May the luck of the Century Tree bless you with a long and happy marriage.
