If you keep up with my blog (does that apply to anyone but my mother??) then you might remember a cute Navasota proposal that I shot recently. It involved me hiding behind a planter, and my husband spying from around the corner to alert me to the approaching couple. If you didn't see it but your interest is peaked, feel free to check it out here: https://www.marypenaphotography.com/blog/erik-ashley-navasota-surprise-proposal
That proposal was Erik and Ashley! I'm lucky enough to have these folks in my life as friends because Erik works with my husband. I've gotten to watch these two go from dating to freshly engaged to now, right in the throws of wedding planning! I was thrilled to do their engagement session, both because it was an opporunity to hang out, and because we did it on a beautiful private ranch in Brenham where Erik used to live.
These two needed none of my tricks to make people smile and giggle. They are so smitten with one another that all I had to do was put them in a pretty spot and let them be themselves. We also got some very romantic and moody light right at sunset that I enjoyed using!
Ashley and Erik, I'm so excited to watch you continue on your adventure together. Congratulations!
