This is the year of weddings for me, y'all. And not my client's weddings. I mean FAMILY weddings. Both of my sister-in-laws and my best friend are getting married in the next 8 months. I was thrilled/honored/ecstatic to shoot engagement sessions for all 3! This was the night for Becky and Alex's photo session, and it was so worth the wait.
By the wait, I'm of course referring to Covid-19. We had to push this session back 2 times until things calmed down a bit, as Becky is a Pediatric transport nurse for a hospital in Houston (i.e. she's the badass who flies on a helicopter to get really sick kids. I'm only a little bit proud...) I don't mind the wait, however, because everything just fell together perfectly for this session. The light was to die for. I had some of the prettiest "filter light through the trees" opportunities I've ever had, which I was not expecting in downtown Houston! We shot on sabine bridge, which is fun and iconic. I even let the happy couple do a picture with the sign of their....ahem.....other college up in Lubbock.
Aside from the photographic aspects of this session, I just love these two. I love him, I love her, I love him for loving her so well, I love who they are as a couple. Hang on....someone must be chopping onions in my house...
I'm just going to stop and let you see for yourself how their love just glows through in every picture.
