I was fortunate enough to do the whole trifecta with Megan and Ethan: Engagements, bridal session, and wedding. This translates to: I was very invested in their wedding and a bit teary eyed for our journey to be over. I think the photographer in me will always remember them for the lovely pops of blue that seemed to follow their journey.
Their engagement session was a treasure hunt of new spots around campus for me, mostly near the architecture building (my liberal arts major self didn't spend a lot of time on that side of campus). They showed me a beautifully ornate blue door that I had NO idea was there, and fell instantly in love with. They also braved the crowds at Bush Library for bluebonnet sunset pictures with me, and the results are some of my favorite images I have ever taken. For Megan's bridals, we enjoyed the stunning scenery (and staircase) at Astin Mansion in downtown Bryan. The light blue walls of their main reception room seemed so fitting for a bridal session. On their wedding day, the afternoon ceremony was held at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, which has a beautiful chapel adorned with blue murals. I walked in and thought "Of course this is where Megan and Ethan are getting married!"
Their day went off without a hitch, owed completely to Megan's planning prowess. If any of my friends and family are reading this, I know you will be skeptical at the bold statement I'm about to make: Megan takes planning to a level that rivals my own. Some of the spreadsheets she created for the wedding day were simply works of art. On the wedding day, there was no question as to what should be happening, involving whom, and when.
The whole day was sunny, vibrant, and joyful, and I believe that comes across in their images. Be sure to check out the last two, where the best man launches a sneak attack of flower petals at the exiting couple!
