I didn't get to meet Meghann and Jake in person for a consultation, because they came to be my clients through Wonderfully Wed's "All-inclusive" wedding planning package, with whom I am a partner. Note to brides: This is a fantastic deal and Erin with Wonderfully Wed will take amazing care of you!
But back to Meghann and Jake. I was so excited to learn that Jake is a firefighter, because I love to bless all of my military and first responder couples with a discount. Since Meghann and Jake booked me through the all-inclusive package, I suggested they come up to College Station for a complimentary engagement session! (PS - They drove up from Kingwood, which is where I grew up! Small world.)
They came up a few days before Christmas, which naturally in College Station means Meghann could wear a cute dress and be perfectly comfortable. It was actually beautiful weather, in the mid 60's and sun peeking through a layer of high clouds. When I showed up at the Century Tree to meet them, I got the BEST surprise in the form of Clifford, their puppy. I embarrassed myself as I do around all dogs with how quickly I fell in love with him. After apologizing for dropping down to love on Clifford before even introducing myself to the couple, we were off to the races. After Academic Plaza, we made a quick run to the Admin building to make use of the lovely porch. At one point, I asked if they were into dancing at all (as I wanted to get a twirling picture) and they admitted that Jake was an Aggie Wrangler! I'm looking forward even more to their wedding now, as I've shot Wrangler weddings before and the guests usually give me something fun to watch on the dance floor.
After a quick change of clothes, we headed to one of my favorite sunset spots at research park. Clifford got to run his wiggles out while Meghann and Jake enjoyed some sunset cuddling and let me play with the props they had brought.
