There aren't words adequate enough to describe the level of cheerfulness I was feeling as I drove up to Venue 311 on Michelle and Brian's wedding day. It was a beautiful, blue sky day. I was beyond thrilled to be out of quarantine (I actually had Covid in July). And then to top it off, Michelle and Brian are one of those couples that blurs the line between clients and friends. Actually, they just erase the line because they ARE friends. Brian and I were in the Corps together at A&M, and we had an amazing time reconnecting for a fun engagement session last year. I got to see them again early in the Summer as Brian was a groomsman for another one of my weddings. They had changed their date due to Covid, and I was just thrilled to see them get to celebrate, and to be able to attend myself!
Michelle and her bride tribe were ready to go way ahead of schedule, and enjoyed a little extra time to relax and walk around the venue looking at the decor. The chapel at Venue 311 had been decorated in romantic greenery that complemented the forest view that you get through their windows. We took advantage of the white interior for some bridesmaids portraits in the air conditioning.
Guests were shuttled from the hotel and arrived just as we were finishing up some Groom's portraits. Everyone took their place in the white chapel pews and the ceremony started right on time. Michelle and Brian exchanged hand-written vows, and guests threw rose petals from paper cones as Mr. and Mrs. McNamara made their first trip back down the aisle as husband and wife.
The reception was a wonderful party with Jimmy Enloe at the DJ station and Franny's Bartending keeping pink colored cocktails in the bride's hand at all times. Everyone danced and celebrated until it was time to send off the happy couple under a tunnel of sparklers.
Michelle and Brian, I'm so excited that your wedding day was so perfect!!
