Rebecca and Doug are getting married in 2 months, and I JUST got to meet them in person for the first time! Our initial consultation was via video chat thanks to Covid, but that didn't stop me from getting very excited about their 2021 wedding. I won't spill the beans on all of the swoon-worthy details yet, as to not ruin it for their guests. Let's just say that I am anxiously awaiting being able to blog their wedding come February.
We planned to meet up this month for their planning session, and Rebecca contacted me a few weeks prior to add on an engagement session that evening! I'm thrilled that they chose to spend this time with me, because engagement sessions are a wonderful way to get to know each other better (and let my clients get a feel for being in front of my camera).
Rebecca and Doug's session began at the most romantic place in Aggieland: Duddley's Draw on Northgate. Well, at least it's the most romantic spot for THEM, because it's where they met. I enjoyed getting to hear their story, and they lucked out with complimentary "congratulations shots" from the bartender on duty.
Next, we strolled over to academic plaza and took a quick turn with the Century Tree before clearing out of the way for a proposal to take place. Then it was off to our final stop: The Gardens on west campus. Rebecca had changed into a lovely purple dress, the Gardens were lit up with twinkle lights, and the sunset glowed just right. Doug was a great sport and indulged me in taking all of the twirl, dip, and snuggle pictures that I wanted. We finished off the night with a hilarious re-telling of their proposal story that had us all laughing. Take a peek at the results!
